ROOM MAKEOVER SNEAK PEAK

Hello my lovelies! Sorry for the long time no talk but big things have been happening!! For one, a room makeover! I feel it is important to change things up every once and awhile. This time I am going to make my room white and gold. Saying goodbye to my baby pink walls and floral comforter! I will show you everything when it is finished but I wanted to show you a sneak peak with the gold sequins pillow and wonderful pillow from PBteen's Emily Merritt collection, and my new favorite scent, Anthropologie's Boulangerie Whipped Cream & Pear Candle! PICTURE DAY OUTFIT OF THE DAY

Picture day is one of those things that we all hate but we want a good picture. Stressful does not even begin to describe how I feel about this day. You always want to look acceptable for that picture in the yearbook. This year I decided to work with what I had instead of buying a whole new outfit just for school pictures and wear flattering colors that work with my features. I hate the way I look when I have a red shirt on with my long red hair. I went with the neutrals and a flattering pop of color. For makeup i like to work with the creams, browns, and black. Simple eye make up with a little sparkle. Remember not to cake on the face makeup. The more natural the better... just cover up those pop up blemishes.

Make sure when dressing for pictures its all about working with what you have because you are all beautiful! Don't try anything too bold and trendy or else you might regret your fashion choice when your looking back at your old yearbooks.

Incase you couldn't tell I'm very excited about the package that arrived today! My new Marley Lilly pink monogrammed rain jacket!! Marley Lilly is one of my new favorite cites to look for everything monogrammed. I am beyond excited for the next rainy day to pull this bad boy out. RAINY DAY OUTFIT OF THE DAY

Today was one of those rainy days where all you wanna do is lay around, but I always feel guilty sleeping another one of my few and precious summer days away. Girls solution to every problem... shopping. Here is my comfort yet cute rainy day outfit!

FOUND TREASURES

Walking through open air markets can be hard work or a lot of fun depending on how you look at the situation. Some people try to look at everything but don't try that hard. Things that stand out to you  can be some of the best souvenirs. Jewelry is my favorite thing to look for. Vintage, handcrafted, and trendy jewelry can be found in flea markets, thrift shops and open air markets. When I was vacationing on a island in South Carolina with my family, we went into Charleston for a day. My family and I decided to go to the open air market there and that is where I picked up the treasure in the picture above. Happy finding everybody!

EASY EVENING HAIRSTYLE

This is a hairstyle I like to wear for a semi-formal dinner. You can wear it anytime is what I like most for those days when you have to go straight from work or school to a dinner date or a more formal dinner with the family. It's a polished easy to accomplish look so let's get started!

Step 1: Pull your hair into a low pony tail.

Step 2: Twist your ponytail around the base of the ponytail (where the hair tie is), and secure with bobby pins.

Step 3: Any bangs or other flyaways that are toward the front of your hair, curl with a bigger curling wand or curling iron. If you don't have bangs just pull down some wispy and curl those

Step 4: Pin back bigger curled piece (like bangs), hairspray and your done!

This is the first of a new series on the blog called "Dani's Music Playlist". Every month i will put up 15 or more songs that i have been loving recently. This month I have really been enjoying John Mayer's new album and other happy sounding, summer music.

4th OF JULY OUTFIT IDEAS

As holidays come and go, I always want to join in on themed outfits without looking absolutely crazy. The fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. Parades, cookouts, & fireworks! What's not to love. But it also means a long day in which it is very hot outside and your outside for most all of it. So what to wear? Well here are some ideas that work well for me...

grey tank: american eagle, navy shorts: abercrombie&fitch, red & white stripes: forever21, white shorts: hollister, white blouse: francesca's, navy skirt: abercrombie&fitch.

In my opinion all three of these outfits could work for either night or day festivities. Perfect for hot weather and they are easy maintenance(no short shorts, too big dresses or tight fitting tops).

Both of these outfits are more for the cookout or fireworks as they seem a little more dressy than for a parade.

red dress: target, blue dress: american eagle, white dress: american eagle.

What you'll see me in! My favorite for cookout and fireworks. The perfect evening attire. Look to sundresses or even simple light colored dresses to make casual with sandals or a pair of cowboy boots. Just be careful if your sitting on the ground that when getting up after those fireworks.
